Metamorph Lyric Video Released
After releasing her lead single this morning, Azealia has taken over the world and especially iTunes with her single straight to number one. Azealia has already proven to be a threat with her longevity and artistic growth. Not only that, Metamorph has already gained great praise from critics all over calling the single "a work of art" and "something we've never heard before" With the praise and success, it was evident Azealia would release a lyric video.
At the start of the music video, the synth plays and a marble statue's head is seen shattering. The lyric video is in a marble statue studio. After the shattering, lyrics appear across the screen. Blowing out in a spiral and making a puff like smoke. The black, formally font-ed lyrics continuously do this with each line Azealia raps of the latest deep house hit.
When the chorus begins, Azealia's back is seen entering the studio wearing an all black pantsuit with a wide rimmed black sunhat. You never see her face but you do see her profile against the sun shining through the window. Azealia brushes her hand along the statues and roams throughout. The puffs of lyrics come out of Azealia's face and flow throughout the room before bursting into singular letters spread across the floor. On the last line of the first chorus, Azealia throws her fist on top of the head of a marble statue, breaking it into a million pieces.
At the top of the next verse, Azealia is seen with her dark black 20 inch hair blowing in the wind, still not giving us a good view of her face. The entirety of the video is in black in white except for when the wind blows in showing the ray of sunshine. With the lyrics continuously flowing in, the video is a masterpiece of both sound and art. When the video ends, Azealia is seen walking out kicking the rubbish aside and closing the window. The last shot of the video is a 360 degree view of the room, with just the sound of birds chirping in the distance.
The video has received great acclaim from critics of all sorts. With hundreds of thousands of views already, one can assume this video will have millions of views by tomorrow. One thing is definitely for certain, Azealia has another hit on her hands. When asked about this lyric video, Azealia said "I wanted to produce something that was clean, risky, yet beautiful. I wanted it to be art, in essence" The singer songwriter's directorial debut was not a disappointment, at all. With a 99-1 ratio with likes to dislikes, the general public agrees. Be sure to purchase Azealia's latest single "Metamorph" on iTunes today.
