So now I've had the chance to listen to the album a couple of times, here are my thoughts:
Til Death A great dance track. One of the catchies tracks on the album and it has interesting production.
9.5/10
Dirty Talk As the time suggests, a somewhat dirty track. Wynter sings about foreplay, whipped cream, g-spots and liking it hardcore amongst other things. Hmm. Plently of sex talk for when you're a little bit horny. Once again, it boasts interesting production from Jupiter Ace (no, not David Guetta).
9/10
Don't Stop Me A grower. Wynter's angelic voice makes it an easy listen. Quite catchy, although it wouldn't be my choice for 3rd single. I like how the verses build up to the explosive chorus. Love the bridge, where she sounds freakily similar to Rihanna.
9/10
Buy My Love The chorus is somewhat cheesy, but who cares? Yet another track designed to get you moving. Epic vocals from Wynter in the bridge, which explodes into the final chorus.
9.5/10
Still Getting Younger Giving me serious Kylie teas! Great throwback to the 80s production. Easily one of the best songs of 2011 and I totally agree with Wynter when she said that it is a masterpiece. On first listen, it was sitting on the fence, but on the next listen BAM it hits you and you fall in love with it.
10/10
Drunk On Your Love I think Wynter has an alter ego. She switches into a eerie and mysterious Wynter on this track. From the very first second of the song you are grabbed by the epic production and unusual vocals from Wynter. It grows on you and I love the chorus. Gives me Goldfrapp teas.
9.5/10
All My Life It starts off as an ordinary dance track, then EXPLODES into an amazing dance track in the chorus where she repeats "you are all my life". The production then becomes fierce. It may be quite repetitive but it is a very good song.
9/10
Rumba Who would've thought that Ace of Base produced this? Very tribal and interesting. Dunno who the guy is but he compliments Wynter on this song.
9/10
Back To You I wasn't completely sold on this track. However, it is definitely a grower. Good production and vocals. Not really much more to say, other than it is a good track.
8/10
In The Morning Like the song above, this was one of my least favourites on first listen. And like that song, it is a grower. It's quite introspective. A good album closer.
8.75/10
Overall 9/10. A very enjoyable dance album which avoids the generic "I'm in the club drinking etc" lyrical trap, although it does dip into that territory once or twice. The album gets better with every listen. Easily one of the best (and unexpected) albums of 2011. I applaud Wynter
