I'm listening to the 7 Teenage Dream singles in order of release and I'm literally tearing up. The quality is amazing. This has been the best era i've seen since Breakaway. It's just phenomonal. And all the 7 singles are distinct and you can easily tell them apart.
and I know Dressin Up doesn't sound like any of them either. What a beautiful creation Katy has made since 2010.
I'm just thinking back to the day California Gurls premiered and we were all shocked radio jumped on the track so fast because she'd been gone for so long. The song was so huge. Then I went on vacation in July and it just made the trip so much better.
then Teenage Dream came out and showed a different side of this new Californian girl and we were all in love.
and then it hit #1 and we were all so proud of her.
And then came Firework. The song that she performed on every show possible.
what an anthem, I was so proud of her when this song blew up! I feel it's her signature song now. So cute.
I remember waiting for the ET remix and being ecstatic when I heard it. Along with California Gurls, it became my favouite single off the album. It still sounds so fresh. I find it to be genius.
Last Friday Night
I had been DYING for this song to be released for the summer! Then I saw her in summer and everyone screamed so loud for this song and it was just so much fun! Katy was an amazing performer with a fantastic personality, and nice boobs.
I couldn't believe it when they decided to release another single.
But once again, it was different than the last. A heartbreaking tale and a midtempo beat. The video is actually so adorable. Teenage Dreams singles were such the best.
But I'm so glad she didn't stop there. Then comes the Complete Confection
In comes Part Of Me. Unfortunatly it's my least favourite out of the seven. Maybe it's because I prefer fun, sexual Perry or maybe it's just not as good? But she did give the performance of a lifetime at the Grammys. I am still in awe of how she angrily tore up the stage. She has improved so much vocally and is much less stiff on stage than she used to be at the start of the era.
Katy is a freaking worldwide superstar now
this era has been one amazing thing after the other. This is the first time I've sat down and really considered all the different parts. I'm glad I did, because I'm putting a smile on my own face as I write this.
I'll always support Katy, she's a beautiful talented woman and I respect all her descions. I can't wait for her to go straight to the top with single #8. Dressing Up will be hott
But what happens to this era after Dressing Up? I hope they release Wide Awake and put this magnificent baby to rest. She should come back Summer of 2013, and do what she does best, have the song of the summer
To Katy Perry; I love you. You're the best. I couldn't be any more proud of you. You've worked your ass off the last two years & no matter how many haters or bad comments are spread your way, you always look up and ignore them. You're a beautiful person and I hope you never change.
To her stans; y'all are amazing. You always know what's up. Stay true to your girl and never leave her. It's a blessing she's on this planet.
