Really? Brit got a record deal at 16/17, I doubt she knew what would follow. OT: Why are people getting angry, just because she studied the fame doesn't mean she lived it, or that she really knew what it would be like to have fame overtake your life. She's human like all of us and I'm sure she misses some of her life before becoming a star.

It's never funny. Especially since a lot of people are dealing with mental illness, some worse than others and some of them don't know what's happening and are having a very hard time living this beautiful life. And people on ATRL are laughing just because they hate this pure soul, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.

How is it funny? Gaga worked hard for everything she has and it's still working her ass off. She didn't get her fortune from thin air.

Don't really like Gaga but this makes me sad.

Britney has said stuff along these lines too and honestly it's hard to understand, you know? Before being mega famous, you'd never have to worry about people trying to be friends with you for ulterior motives. But after you become so global, I'm sure the paranoia is more than justified.

It's a lonely life, and I guess one can look at it in the "well they have moneyz loolZ" way to brush it aside but I don't think that works. Yes, they have the money to make significant impact in other people's lives (which they often do through charity) but money cannot buy you company, at least in the way that would satiate your soul (as opposed to your physical needs).

So I get what she's saying. I think her statement is more of a generalisation of the sentiment, and not an accurate representation (randomly talking to people about life just sounds like a simplification to me tbh). But the point is, simplified or not, her fame prevents this from happening.

This. It's basically hard to find REAL friends, someone to trust in even as the regular average person. To even think a lot of people on ATRL are still in the closet because of their fear that they would be/feel rejected. They should be the last to laugh . This site is super toxic.

I'm surprised so many people have an issue with her statement. There is a reason why so many artists and people in the spotlight start to self medicate in different ways, develop eating disorders, get mental issues. It's like being a monkey in a zoo 24/7 and there is no off button. I can imagine how it must freak you out. Actually I can't but I do not doubt for one second that famous people despite being rich have issues with just....life. Money does not soothen the circumstances, we all have our cross to bear. Ours might be different but it's a cross nevertheless.
