Not everything in Pop music has to be about visuals and music videos. We love Kelly for her voice, her personality, and her music. I don't get why people are doing the most about it.

She is NOT in a Britney phase Kelly actually sings on her own album. She actually sings live. She can actually sing. Also Britney doesn't dance like she used to Did you see her lazy ass Femme Fatale choreo? Don't make me find that gif... Kelly had a great video for People Like Us. Stronger had a cute video too. She's a mom now and a mature artist who is comfortable with her career. Most of her fans are happy which is all that's important.

Um....just because Kelly doesn't make extravagant music videos doesn't mean she's being lazy. Ever thought budget could be an aspect? I don't think her label puts much money towards her videos, and they haven't for a while now....she doesn't care that much about it either so it's probably not a big deal to her if they don't give her a ton of money for them.
Not to mention, its not THAT important. She hasn't placed much importance on videos for years, and that doesn't make her lazy. It's not a requirement.

Just a bit more exciting... like how many ****ing videos are there these days that have this 'Heartbeat Song' concept? Exactly, it's nothing new. I liked 'Catch My Breath' though.
I don't care that she's a mother now, pop is pop, be creative with it.
Gwen's a mom too, Britney's a mom too, Xtina's a mom too, Fergie's a mom too, they don't get lazy with their visuals most of the time?
I'm not saying that she's completely like Britney these days, of course she's not but at least it looks like Britney puts some effort into her stuff, even if it's her team doing most of the work.

What do you mean by "her damn Christmas album" as if its a shame that that's her best work after AIEW? (And she's only released one other album since then....). Her Christmas album is one of her best works ever and she poured her heart and soul into it. It was her favorite thing she had ever done in her career at that point. She wrote some amazing songs, gave incredible renditions of classics, and worked extremely hard promoting it while being horribly sick with morning sickness. Even with an album that she was so clearly passionate about and worked her ass off with releasing, they didn't do much with the videos that era....they used a performance filmed for her TV special as the UTT music video. They recorded a new very low budget video for WIR this past winter when they didn't even have to. Visuals just aren't that important to her.
I did like People Like Us. Not my favorite Kelly song ever, but I enjoyed it. It was on a Greatest Hits......the new songs on Greatest Hits albums typically are supposed to mirror the rest of the artists' work, that was the whole point. It was supposed to fit in with "Chapter One".
She has said herself that Heartbeat Song was the first single because "its just the song to get us back out there, because we haven't had an album out in a while". She has spoken much more fondly about the rest of the album.
I don't get why you're so baffled at this video. Kelly has never been as much as a visual artist as the other artists you named, and she hasn't really cared a ton about visuals since the beginning of the AIEW era. As far as "that's what people say", I guarantee that the majority of people hearing this song on the radio aren't going to judge the music video so harshly. Pop fans, yes, but a lot of people, no.
I'd love Kelly to step up her game with music videos, but it's been like this for a long time and its not a huge deal. She's not Gaga, she hasn't built her career putting emphasis on her videos.
