I'm by no means a purist... But an overall chart for a genre should only count sales for
genre songs and play on
genre stations. It makes no sense to give WANEGBT a no. 1, because it go no play on country radio aside from a few weeks fueled by an airplay promotion. It makes
no sense to count airplay from
outside the genre on a chart that is designed to track songs from a
specific genre.
