10 . Snow Patrol - Eyes Open
+ Best Tracks: Make This Go On Forever, Chasing Cars, Open Your Eyes, You Could Be Happy +
- I love the fact that I get to listen to this album about two months ago, and found this album completely awesome. Snow Patrol followed the Coldplay-tune throughout the whole CD, "Eyes Open" is one of the best alternative albums of the year. You can feel that the album is sorta like a chain from song to song. Mainstream-wise, the single "Chasing Cars" became a big hit, and The Patrols most definitely deserved their success.
09. My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade
+ Best Tracks: Famous Last Words, Dead!, Mama, I Don't Love You +
- Their first album was already good, but with their sophomore stuff "The Black Parade", it takes on to a whole another level. My favorites have to be "Mama" & "Famous Last Words". MCR tried different sounds & themes to their music, and it works. Although, their first single "Welcome to the Black Parade" was a little weird at first listen, but i'll let that one slide.
08. John Legend - Once Again
+ Best Tracks: Stereo, Show Me, Where Did My Baby Go, Save Room, Heaven, Again +
- You know me, I love some R&B stuff in my albums list. John Legend is definitely legend in his new album. The first single "Save Room" already bring back the soul feeling that was lost in much of R&B today. Tracks like "Show Me", "Stereo", and "Where Did My Baby Go" are awesome, if you're an R&B fans and you havn't listen to this album? Well, you're missing out big time.
07. Kelis - Kelis Was Here
+ Best Tracks: Till The Wheels Fall Off, Trilogy, Living Proof, Blindfold Me (Feat. Nas)+
- Wow, I used to think she was just an average artist in her Milkshake era. Boy, did Nas's wifey made a damn good album. "Kelis Was Here" is just the surprise of this year for me. My favorite is definitely "Till The Wheels Fall Off", her voice and the music definitely blend in together successfully. Other great songs like "Trilogy" & "Living Proof" show that she is one of the great singers out there in the music business today.
