I wonder how she feels about this. All the interviews, the hard work she poured into her performance, the hot collabs. She was clearly ready to come back hard.

IDK whether it should properly be called a "flop",another singer's song (one that SLAYS IMO) did debut at #10 and fell off the charts a month or so afterward.To me that song severely underwhelmed in terms of success.This song might end up mirroring that BUT

You do have the Gaga style promo,and that alone could signify a Capital F-L-O-P.I'm gonna have to come back later and decide what it is in my opinion....

Also,accoriding to a few stans (not just some on ATRL),this was supposed to put Gaga in her place....

It's too soon to tell, but things don't look very promising atm.

Well, they tried to do a whole lot of promo at once. There was the video, the performance, the remix, the deal, countless interviews only in one weekend. It started off huge, but unfortunately, a lot of things happened. First the song was removed from itunes right when it was about to go #1, then Whitney died and then the Grammys happened and people just forgot about the song. It was holding well before that. If I'm not mistaken it was steadily selling in the top 5 on iTunes before the Whitney effect and then the grammys came and killed everything else. I mean, the current #1 song on the Hot100 is almost being kicked off from the top 10 right now.
It still has to completely die on radio and iTunes before we call it a flop, but...

well not randomly.

People worldwide actually took to the song instantly. Im no J-Lo fan but that track was a masterclass of killer hooks and perfect sampling of well loved songs(Lambada).

No less derivative or trite than GMAYL but so much more powerful.

There's nothing I hate more than calling something a flop prematurely. But it's not looking good. The tepid initial response on iTunes before the halftime show performance, however, told me that this was never going to be a multiplatinum smash.
