Psy will probably be displaced by fun next week, since radio is dropping him as fast they possibly can.

Radio stations in this country are so ****ing oblivious. I mean, a >100K gap in sales and the radio gap keeps that bland song on top

It seems complete my album just annihilated We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together...

Not sure if mad because of this, or if glad because Never Ever is a disgrace to Taylor's discography.

I said it in SYG, but the only thing that brings Payphone for me is Wiz's rap verse that has nothing to do with the rest of the song.

I also think Ke$ha (and Rihanna for that matter) will do fine in streaming. Alternative songs were the initial rulers, but Spotify/streaming isn't exclusive them as far as popularity goes. "Scream" and "Where Have You Been" are the worst examples to weigh how pop songs will do, simply because they floundered overall.

This, the those 2 songs we radio friendly but weren't any different from previous singles and that why the people didn't respond to them and they had low sales and streaming

Others aswell. Part of Me, Pound the Alarm, even Ne-Yo and Chris Brown's current songs aren't doing very well on streaming.

However a few have done well in the past like Wild Ones and Glad You Came.

Yeah, I even put "Part of Me" amongst "Scream"/"WHYB" as far as underperforming goes, or at least expectations. "PTA" simply didn't meet expectations either. Ne-Yo is kind of just starting off and Chris growing, though both are #16 and #27 on iTunes, respectively.. so they'll likely go down the same lane as the previously mentioned right now.

It's going to take a Pop song that's doing extremely well in sales/radio and then flops at streaming for me to really think they don't have a chance streaming wise. These examples of songs that were subpar in performance altogether doesn't paint a picture. Your examples here are what I mean.. Flo Rida, Ke$ha they'll do good on streaming, they are staples in what people listen to casually.

Well, 600 points is probably a lot more than that, actually. Billboard Points are formulated differently and are usually in the 30k to 35k range for a #1 hit.

That's all I know, though, since it just takes some basic algebra to figure that part out with what they give us (percent decline from last week to this week, and total point difference for both this week and last).
