Pink by miles I never herd a Gaga song that has moved me like Just like A Pill or Who Knew her music is more raw and relatable. Gaga is talented but she relies on gimmicks that she doesn't need.
You seriously think that is worse than rehashing someone else's song?
P!nk's originality, her own signature sound, whether you are a fan of it or not, says a lot about her artistry.
Rehashing? It was the same chord progression, that's it. If you know what a chord progression is, and you listen to the radio, you'll note that most of those songs share identical or similar chord progressions.
It's Gaga. She at least has a vision for herself, her music & her eras and sticks to it no matter how "redundant". Pink sacrifices her artistic integrity for stale singles & bland albums.
I like P!nk, love most of her singles, and think she is a phenomenal performer. But her musicality is highly overrated (other than her voice, which is quite good). Musically she takes very few risks, and thematically her songs/albums are often times the same. It's easy to turn out good songs when they are all similar-sounding and about roughly the same thing. That doesn't make me like her music less, but Gaga is clearly the better artist.

Ripping off Kelly Clarkson Stronger for her first single, releasing a cover for her second, and releasing an Imogen Heap ripoff for her third single is originality now? Like you really wanna go there

How is Blow Me One Last Kiss similar to Stronger in the slightest They don't have the same lyric subject and don't sound alike at all
Born This Way sounds closer to Express Yourself than any of P!nk's songs to anyone else's
And JGMAR does not sounds like an Imogen Heap song at all

Very nice post
Still don't agree with you overall but you have some good points, Her last three albums have been the same theme..which isn't a bad thing since she's found what she's good at and enjoys and sticks to it
Gaga does take some risks I think but not as many as other people are trying to give her credit for
It is just a matter of who you like more in the end since they both are great

Chorus sounds almost exactly the same
Quote:
Did anyone else notice that the chorus in the song "Just Give Me A Reason" by Pink clearly ripped off the chorus of Speeding Cars?
Quote:
Was listening to just give me a reason by Pink for the first time and I started singing this at the chorus and I didn't even know what song it was either so it's obviously similar
Quote:
That's why this song popped up in my head immediately after hearing that song!
It makes sense now
Quote:
this song was copied by P!NK... who is a ****** writer anyway
Quote:
I love P!nk, I really do. She's an amazing artist. But it's clear that she ripped off the Speeding Cars chorus. That's not musical influence, that's plagiarism.

I was forever trying to figure out what that sound sounded similar to! Finally..
The only difference is that Madonna is far bigger than Imogen Heap, which is why Gaga got called out for it. Doesn't make P!nk's song any less of a ripoff though. Like the nerve to come for Gaga in that department is laughable

I agree...Gaga doesn't take as many risks as people say, either. Nothing wrong with sticking with what works well for you too, like P!nk has recently. Gaga might have even learned a little bit of that from her last era, actually.
I'd say they're about on the same level. Gaga takes more risks, while Pink is better at her execution. Pink is the better singer and dancer definitely, but she doesn't take many risks musically. Gaga does. When it comes to putting on a show, Pink wins. When it comes to making an era an ERA of cohesive craziness with some weird deep hidden meaning, GaGa. Lol. They're 2 different, but great aspects to both of them, and I feel like their strengths are in different areas. If you were to take them and mash them into one artist, she would be MASSIVE!
Not a fan of P!nk anymore, but I love her older music. She made songs that I relate to: "Don't Let Me Get Me", "Just Like a Pill", "Sober" etc. Gaga is too flamboyant and over-the-top for me to enjoy. It's like she wants to be a circus-clown. I find what she does tacky and it holds no resonance with me. P!nk wrote songs about life and the struggles of growing up. I have that connection with her, which is something Gaga has never provided me – with her songs about unicorns and monsters.
