I think the new judges have something there but it isn't showcased well enough yet. Maybe at live shows it will be. See you also gotta consider the editing and what they can fit in at a short amount of time.
I personally think Kelly provides a sort of familiarity to the show as she was on UK's version and people really loved her on it. So those from the American demographic that turned in to watch the British version online or wherever for whatever reason might be interested in this new season because of Kelly being on it.
As for Paulina. She's funny, she's sassy, she's adorable. She's kinda like an older version of Demi in ways because she provides what Demi did last season. Her speech dialect might detract some viewers but I think many will tune in just to hear the funny things she comes out with. Furthermore she brings in the South American demographic. She is Latino after all. I think she has a lot to offer the show now I've warmed up to her
That's all it takes. Warming up. The general public aren't dead ducks. They'll jump on something that seems appealing to everyone else. They follow the flow.
