Oh please everybody knows that Carrie easily got those awards and Grammys because she was in the country genre. She would not have gotten a single one if she was a pop star against other pop stars. I mean how many songs were in her categories were about a parking lot or their beer and truck.
When the time comes when it is in fact Kelly vs Carrie with country albums out for both. Kelly will always come out on top.

I din't know the Carrie fans were still so pressed by Kelly. Kelly and Carrie get along just fine. Kelly is ADORED by country music while country music is Carrie's genre. Of course Carrie has more praise in the country world. She wouldn't have a career if she didn't. Kelly is doing country for personal/side fun. She just happens to be getting praise left and right. Kelly hasn't even released a proper country album.

Let's not forget Kelly got into country because country artists approached her. Reba and Jason Aldean. Now she is getting praise on her own. She even submitted Don't Rush for the grammys.

Like I said before, she's releasing country music for fun. I don't think she's looking to be the next big country star. The CMAs are the ones inviting her back. Carrie's Billboard receipts are impressive, but that's the extent of ha impact. Kelly has been moving units overseas for more than a decade.

As for Grammys - Carrie has them awards (and rightfully so), but seems to be perceived as a singles queen. She hasn't ever squeaked out an album nom in her category - let alone two wins.

Album wins versus singles wins? It's a debate that depends on what you value more. I know for us KC fans, we really love hearing Kelly's full vocal performance across an album. Apparently Grammy voters like listening to Kelly's voice the same way as she's the only artist in history with two Pop Album wins.
