It's not that her music is immune to adults liking it. I myself rocked to Roar for a week or two after it came out. It's a catchy, fun song. It doesn't really change the fact that her target audience seems to be under 18 though.
From the Disney-Channel-Lite music video for Roar, to the pre-teen-Romance of Unconditionally to the entire Teenage Dream era's sound and visual style, it's not really a secret that she's appealing to a young fan base.
