The fact that people didn't want to be around her after the event and basically made her out to be crazy and "dangerous" is extremely offensive. Yes, it was a very weird misunderstanding on a sensitive topic, but it's not like New York completely made it all up. She could've reacted differently, but if we're going by the "could've, would've, should've" logic, Bowie's ex had little to no reason to share this secret with only ONE person, especially one that she didn't seem to get along with anyway.
