I thought the LGBT community was a non-existence in the Middle East though. Boy, was I wrong. We are literally everywhere. Let me replace Morocco with Jordan instead on my list of countries to visit then. I was planning to go to Morocco but I heard some nasty news about their conservatism. Well, they're not technically wrong cause Tet is in fact a Chinese holiday, originally. We just happen to pick it up during those 1000+ years they took over Vietnam. Still, people should kinda just call it Lunar New Year, it sounds less local imo

Anyway, speaking of Tet. I requested 2 days off but the place where I'm working had this rumor that they might fire those new workers who don't work throughout Tet so I'm feeling kinda conflicted at the moment cause I don't know if I should feel bad about the possibility of me being fired only less than 2 months of working there or that I should just go ahead and let them fire them already cause it's just a regular part-time job and my life doesn't depend on it so

Anyway, I've watched like one or two Filipino dramas on TV here. One was Sana ay ikaw na nga (?), don't know if I got that right, which was pretty nice like, I love the idea of actors playing 2 different characters,etc & another was Misibis Bay which was pretty lame but the male actors were kinda hot and since it's based around a resort, they made sure to have them half-naked in most episodes so I got kinda thirst trapped & went with it till the end.

I didn't even know it was called "Tet". Most people just call it "Chinese New Year" in the US with some people calling it "Lunar New Year" to accommodate non-Chinese. Why don't they just keep the proper name?

"Tet" is just Vietnamese name. Most of people in Vietnam hate China (because they've always invaded us since ancient time, and right now we're fighting for some islands in South China sea) so they don't like it being called "Chinese New Year"
