Kpop groups train for years, whereas the majority of these modern day western girl groups are composed of x-factor rejects, so the talent contrast is vast.

In Asia, stars are made, trained and end up being marginally more talented than most Western groups.

Also they are not more talented, they are just training and preparing themselves for years on the expense of education, and they know that if they **** up, there are hundreds of girls to take their place in the group without much noise, like it happens all the time. Why is it so easy to replace a girl from a Kpop group? Because the girls are programmed to fill certain role in the group, and barely show their real personality or have an input into the music they make. Its all just so artificial. Most of the time I look at those girls who in such young age had more plastic surgeries than Joan Rivers and whose personality is constantly repressed from their childhood and formed in certain way, I feel sick.

I forgot how any of this detracts from the fact that these girls are skilled dancers, sufficient singers, some act and model. Therefore, that's talent. All Americans really need these days to break into any dismal mainstream success is a reality show or a viral video. The standards for talent in English speaking countries are very low. You will deal with it.

Being a skilled dancer, being a sufficient singer, to act and model doesnt mean they are talented. Because nothing they do or release goes from their heart and soul, somehow representing who they are or what they feel. Every other girl from the training centre would do the same for the group. They make music that is totally stripped of character and personality, i.e disposable because the music is just empty, little substanceless piece to make you adore how nice the girls look in those small dresses, dancing in synchronicity. You can very well have a group of sexy androids doing the same, I guess you would stan that too.
I agree with what you say about the American talent shows driven industry, but at least those people that come from the shows are being themselves.
