I read somewhere in my research that honest co did include sls and sles in some of their products, now im not sure if its true, just putting it out there just in case, please make sure you look at the complete list of ingredients before purchasing anything that's labelled sulfate-free, 100% organic, 100% natural...

Basically even eating it causes little harm...

If u want to look at carcinogenic products look at sulphites and atrazine

I googled this and it seems like a disputed claim. Some articles even say it's a hoax argument. But shampoo has been used for decades. If it was so dangerous i think there would be more widespread diagnoses of cancer.I use TRESemme and Colgate; both have SLS and they seem fine. All i have to say is just don't overuse generic products and get something that matches your needs.

Shampoos wouldn't be allowed to use it if it was proven to link to cancer, it's obviously just a theory. There are theories microwaves and radio waves from computers and mobile phones cause brain tumors too, but you can't avoid every contested theory.

The fact is that SLS is an irritant, not a carcinogen. It’s a strong detergent intended to remove oil and soil, but there is no link between use of this product and cancer risk.

I've done a bit of research and some websites state that some people may experience skin irritation when in contact with the substance, but that's all. What's a bit strange is the fact that even when using a product with SLS concentration of less than 1%, skin irritation may occur.

There is no actual proof, and SLS and SLES would be banned if it actually was linked to cancer. I use Nexxus and it's already one of the most expensive hair care lines in the market. The second ingredient is SLS. If it was as deadly as you're making it out to be, it would be banned.
