As an Android, Windows and Apple fan, I can see where Apple is going but you have to admit, there was nowhere else for Apple to go.They couldn't get more complicated because they are famous for the simple OS.

I think since Apple were the ones that designed the smartphone look, and that Android followed suit, the comparisons to Android is stupid because Android was built based on how the iPhone worked. Just because Android modernised their look, Apple doing the same isn't copying. Because it was initially their look to update in the first place.

The Windows 8 multitasking is a bit rich though. I don't see why they couldn't make the Apps multitasking the same as Safari?

I don't see this as trying to be an android even in the slightest. It's a lot of stuff people have been asking for, and the design looks very Apple through and through. I have an android currently and I had every iphone except the original. I will be going back to the iPhone as soon as the new phone comes out, and I will never go back to android. I have the HTC One currently, and as much as I love it, my heart lies with Apple.

I'm really looking forward to iOS 7. I like the new "simplicity" theme that Apple is implementing into its iDevices. However, when I imagined what would be unveiled at WWDC, I envisioned a completely redesigned interface, more than just cosmetics. Maybe I was hoping for too much, but I really wanted to see a different layout/structure of iOS, because Apple has had the same grid layout since the first iPhone.

However, I am still pleased with the cosmetic redesign. In my opinion, the icons are lovely and the everything looks pretty. I am still getting used to the transparency of the Control Center, because with those red and blue backgrounds behind it, it looks hideous.

It looks like I'll be upgrading to the next version of the iPhone in the fall when my current contract ends!

It's clear that Apple has "borrowed" some of its design changes from other OS's. But in my opinion, it's perfectly fine for a company to take another's idea and make it better, if the original idea was unpatented. And that's exactly what Apple is doing here. With exception to the last pic, the Apple version of the software looks better in all of the pics you showed.

I don't think Apple is doing anything illegal or wrong here. However, do I think this was Apple's best decision to make? Of course not. I think that this whole "borrowing ideas" thing lowers the overall value of the Apple brand. For a company once known for putting fresh, new, state of the art products out, now it seems like they've lost the spark that's made them Apple.

I had it on my phone last night for about an hour, I loved it, it looks so much nicer on your actual device, and it's smooth, no bugs, but since the beta's expire, I just downgraded to iOS 6
