I think you can tell that it's a sort of ongoing "joke" (aka issue, thinly veiled by humour) between them. Gaga wouldn't do that out of the blue in public. They probably "joke" that Diane gets ahead of herself/spoils things/hypes too much etc.
My initial reaction was that Gaga gets embarrassed when Diane praises/hypes her so explicitly.
This - altho i was also wondering if maybe gaga is worried Diane will spoil something?
No shade but Diane interrupting her like that felt a LITTLE rude.

Probably because she was discussing the late David Bowie -- a music legend and one of her greatest idols -- and Diane was making it all about Lady Gaga, with the unnecessary stanning and hyping. I would feel uncomfortable in that situation too.
