Beautiful video, stunning footage. Woodkid is seriously one of the best directors out there.
It's all about dualities: the brutal virility of the bull and the graceful softness of the fish and bird. The desolation of a burning forest and the peacefulness of an icy mountain. The dark and bright lighting. The yin and yang. The man and woman.
Okay... what did you expect from a slow song with meaning and message? gay people kissing and gaga with extravagant hats? That has already been done....
The video is shot amazingly... and even if simple... its NOT the same as everyone else has been doing over and over again.... And the photography is STUNNING

You make it sound like a video like this hasn't been done before.

We're talking male hip hop artists here though, this is definitely refreshing for that genre.
Drake has mastered the best of both worlds in terms of music videos & hes shown that tonight. (TC & HYFR).
Artistically speaking it was cute but a bit boring. However I have to give it up to him seeing as this is a hip hop video without girls shaking their ass. Something that is very few in that genre. It reminded me alot of a Kanye video.
I loved it. Very beautiful, very atmospheric, very symbolic. I pretty much agree with Gui; it's all about dichotomy. The burning wasteland vs. the peaceful mountain, the bucking bronco vs. the elegant bird, etc. Even Drake and Rihanna were dressed in all black and all white, respectively. And the fish that were interspersed among the video were Siamese fighting fish, beautiful but notoriously violent.
I was totally engrossed in the whole thing, but I'm a sucker for beautifully directed artsy videos.
