"...Let's say if you don't have a gun, why would you not put your hands up?"
Michael Brown, anyone?
oh and this just happened last week...
everythingok?
Are you aware that Michael Brown'a hands up don't shoot story was PROVEN to be a lie? And that the officer shot him in self defence after Brown tried struggling with him for control of his gun? And that there was a significant amount of evidence that witnesses were pressurised to lie about the event in an attempt to convict the innocent policeman?
Miss me with that comply ****. I'm not even going to get into existence of racial profiling, the fear of black men, the relationship between cops and poor and black community etc. because it's just time for black people to really disengage with discussing race with people that don't want to understand. But there's plenty of other cases, most not even popular or national, where there's evidence of people following every order and still getting shot either way. Literally getting shot for doing what a cop told them to do.
I don't see why social media should even care what he has to say, and hopefully it won't be a big thing. This man is dumb and only speaking about one particular case, not looking at the bigger picture/issue.

Lol oh okay what about the 8 year old black girl who was sleeping? And the guy on the ground tending to one of his patients with his HANDS up? Or the guy shot in the back over five times (that police officer was CONVICTED btw) oh and what about the little boy they CHASED on a bike because they believed he was a threat...and almost killed him. A LITTLE BLACK BOY WHO WASNT EVEN A TEENAGER.
Lest us not forget eric garner and Sandra bland...
Oh and what about the white female police officer who shot HERSELF and claimed a BLACK man did it..
But racism dosent exist everything is justified!1!1!1

If you read my previous post, you would see that I said we need to reserve judgement on cases until we have all the evidence. Once we have it, prosecute those who deserve it to the fullest extent of the law.
But the officer who shot Michael Brown was justified.
The sooner we accept that sometimes the cops are in the wrong, such as in the cases you described, and sometimes the cops are in the right, as was definitely the case with Michael Brown, the easier it will be to start viewing each case individually and objectively, which can only serve genuine justice and positive race relations.

No, Mike brown was not justified. If you can capture people like the Washington shooter who killed several people in a Macy's without killing them? Who was also ARMED? You can capture Mike brown without murdering him. PERIOD.
Countless white people have ASSAULTED police officers and they are still living. Not once was excessive force used.
whats the excuse there?
I'm Indian. And I'm pretty sure a cop isn't going to look at me suspiciously because of the color of my skin. I always comply to what ever orders they give me. I'm super careful. I got pulled over and the cop told me to give him my drivers license. I put my wallet in the glove box of my car so instead of reaching for it like an idiot even though the cop told me to grab my license I instead politely asked "Officer, my license is in the glove box of my car. Can I grab it?" And he just said "sure". Gave me a warning about switching lanes without the indicator on and he left.
I didn't argue with him or make abrupt moves and etc. So I knew I wasn't going to get shot.
Umm there's a huge difference between Indians and Black people, for one Indians haven't been discriminated anywhere near as much as Black people and for the most part are not considered to be as violent or threatening.

Yes, it was. Unlike you I have actually read the case. He was shot as he tried to wrestle the gun fro, the cop, and the 'witnesses' who perpetuated the hands up don't shoot story later admitted they either lied or were pressured into lying. Before you try and question a GOOD SHOOT, read the court case in full. Otherwise you're wasting your time (and, more importantly, mine).
Personally, I get annoyed with those who jump to assume EVERY single case is due to racism and then it turns out that the guy actually is just a criminal as I think it's counterproductive and not helping anything. However you have to be truly deluded and more importantly extremely blinded by privilege not to see that a large number of these cases are due to racism and that white people (and Indians for that poster) are not treated as badly as black people by the Police.

.... didn't Mike Brown die being shot in the back 140+ feet away from his killer?

No. Bruises on the cop's face, as well as Michael Brown's DNA on the gun itself and three independent autopsies and analyses of the shot pattern confirmed that the shooting was consistent with that of a struggle for control of the gun.

...no, that means he struggled with the police officer.
I can try to grab a cop's gun, but then if I run away, that doesn't mean the cop then has agency to try and kill me for running away.
You can't even say it's defense since you would know my ass doesn't have a gun since I tried to take yours. There was no immediate need to shoot Mike Brown if he was fleeing. He could have broken the police officer's nose and still there would be no need to kill a man from 140+ feet away (yes, the same evidence shows were Darren Wilson shot Mike Brown from and where Mike Brown lied dead was this distance) - a fleeing suspect is not a threatening suspect.

There were no gunshot wounds on his back He categorically, factually, anatomically was not shot in the back.
This was backed up by several BLACK witnesses, by the way... Many of whom found their lives threatened for defending the cop.
