at least Demi has top 10/20 hits and a #1 album sis, even if she peaks in her first week.
Selena remains the only act out of Hilary, Jonas, Miley, Demi, etc who doesn't have a #1 album.

Hilary hasn't made an album in 4 years and is happily married and pregnant.
Miley's last album crashed and burned upon release.
Joe's album...
And Demi can't sell outside her first week.
Not impressive by any means at this point. #1's mean nothing if there's no longevity.

Yet, Selena has sold more than Demi. Not to mention Demi's the only act who doesn't have more than one Gold album (that went Gold in 2 years).

demi will have longevity though
I'm still convinced that selena (and bieber) are ticking time bombs waiting to go off...once post disney, they'll be with the likes of hilary duff. no shade to hilary, but the sales speak for themself.
Demi may not have a strong fanbase yet, but her talent and voice are enough to keep her around in the long run

Miley still remains the most popular with being the most searched about 
And yes, #1 albums ARE impressive, just because your fave doesn't have one, doesn't mean they're not impressive.
