You're more likely to be raped by going to a party at night, right? So women shouldn't go to parties.
You're also more likely to be raped by associating with men. So women shouldn't associate with men.
Do you see where this is going? There is literally no situation where you cannot make something up to blame the victim of a rape.
Instead of telling women to magically avoid rape, teach men what rape is and not to do it. Case ****ing closed.

Do y'all not read your disgusting posts before you hit submit? "I'm not blaming the victim but she shouldn't have put herself in that situation"? Dear God it's like The Twilight Zone in here.

seriously ppl???
Even if she wasnt drunk, she still could have gotten raped...so would that constitute it not being okay???
It was 2 big dudes against a small innocent girl...they could have done it either way...drunk or not...she should have no accountability for why happened

So? And you're more likely to get kidnapped if you take a ride from a stranger, still doesn't make it right. And I could give a **** what some of the ignorant folks in here are saying HUN.

"Seriously there are some girls who are so promiscuous, immature and loose, and then something like this happens to them, but if they'd been more restrained some situations such as these( especially in high school) wouldn't happen."
what kind of sexism who cares how promiscuous she was in the past because that sex was consensual. This case of sex was not and therefore was not only all the boys fault but they should be the ones getting the bashing especially because of the fact they put it online and bragged about it. I cannot with this statement a person doesn't deserve to be raped because they are immature, or drunk etc.... the logic *sigh*

People are naive to rape. You can be married to a person and still be raped by them. Teachers, police officers, pastors, politicians, parents, coaches, friends, family, can all be rapists. There is no way to fully protect yourself from that situation unless you just don't live at all. Don't go to parties. Don't go out in public. Don't go to the movies. Don't do anything. Don't surround yourself with others whether you trust them or not. The ignorance...

" you reap what you sow"
Is that not basically saying the girl deserved it?
" Seriously there are some girls who are so promiscuous, immature and loose, and then something like this happens to them, but if they'd been more restrained some situations such as these( especially in high school) wouldn't happen."
And you contradict yourself yet again with this dumbass comment. Promiscuity does not invite rape. It doesn't make you more susceptible to rape. You are still at risk for being raped even if you're a virgin who dresses like a nun. The only way to guarantee that you never become a victim of rape is to live on an island by yourself.
The irony of you calling anyone an imbecile when you spew ignorant nonsense like this.

When I said you "reap what you sew",I wasn't referencing the ACTUAL girl,I'm talking about some of these hot tail little girls that get caught up in the wrong place and the wrong time. These things are bound to happen, you're just reading too hard into my post because you are overly sensitive. I didn't mean it in that way,so if i offend you and others I am truly sorry. The way I worded made it look wrong and harsh.
I can assure you,I'm not that cold blooded
You are right, promiscuity doesn't invite rape, never did i say it did. Though YOU keep putting words in my mouth Mr.Beyhive stan. I'm saying that you are more LIkELY to be raped, not that you deserve it.
Do you understand me NOW?

It's like saying someone who is bullied for being gay is wrong because they shouldn't be gay.

She's 16, why was she that drunk where she doesn't remember?

Why were those 16 year old guys so drunk that they raped her, fingered her and took pictures of it to post on social media?

Yes, rape is a horrible thing. No, I don't think it's right to blame the victim. But yes, I think it is OKAY to say "you have to make better decisions". What's so " " about that?
It's general life lesson & I'm pretty sure her own parents and family discussed the same thing with her after the entire situation, and probably are a lot more strict about where she goes and what she does.
It's not punishing her, blaming her. It's further teaching.
|
"it's up to the person to not put themselves in the situation".
You are, maybe subconsciously, putting a portion of the blame on the victim by saying "it's up to" her not to put herself in a rape situation. There is no rape situation.
You can get drunk and not expect to be raped and then in fact have people condescendingly telling you to use that as a "general life lesson".

Right!??? I just think it's not apparent to some people because they're not really looking at it from both angles. There is no real way to remove yourself from being "raped" or becoming a victim.

Its really a mess. It can be anyone and happen to anyone and just cause you're drunk does not give that person the signal to rape you

. I'm not blaming the girl, but if you're a 16-year-old and you're drunk like that, your parents should teach you—don't take drinks from other people. She's 16, why was she that drunk where she doesn't remember? It could have been much worse. She's lucky.

ddddddddas;kkkkkdsja
It does not matter omfg. Even if you have consensual sex with a new guy every day for a month that does NOT mean rape is still okay. Rape is never okay, it doesn't matter if the victim is promiscuous or a virgin. You don't do that ****, duh.

Nothing wrong with going out to party daaahling. I go out all the time. What I'm saying is if you go to that said party and get sloppy drunk, especially with people YOU DON'T KNOW THAT WELL then, yes you are more prone to being in danger.
When I go out it's usually with friends or at least one of my girlfriends .I hardly show up alone anywhere tbh.
