This is odd. IIRC, "My Boo" was counted as the fourth #1 from Confessions, but it wasn't on the standard edition.
Anyway, I don't have any issue with this. I always thought it would be odd to count those #1s from a re-release. It would be kinda unfair to Michael, who set a record with no re-release.
Just like Mariahs "Don't Forget About Us" was counted as an additional single from "MiMi"
It was still the same album just bonus tracks...not a "Re-release" with a new title.

Katy Perry didn't create remixes, there's nothing you can do about it. Her label just uses the rules in their favour.
I'm not saying she created the remixes, but she's the one that is exploting them for charting purposes.
Like The Eagles thing with Britney or the Gaga thing with her discount. It wasn't the first time an album was sold exclusively by just one retailer or that an album was discounted on it's first week, but the fact that it's affecting notably the charts (AKA Billboards work) can make them elaborate new rules.

Well that's not the same. The sales were combined but had Bad Romance reached #1 it still would have counted as a Hot 100 #1 from The Fame Monster, not The Fame. Because of the EP.

Unlike Katy's she trying to re-release the album and add new songs plus remixes.
