Yes, I might not be a huge fan. However, “The Boys” plays out like Asia’s Next Top Model meets So You Think You Can Dance. It’s just non-stop fashion, dance, and beauty, it's quite enjoyable to watch. And the fact that Hyo got more screen-time than the usual 3 seconds is a plus.
If U2 crashed head first into K-Pop, then “Love Song” is what you’d get. You can also bet that if Bono rapped, U2 would release it themselves. Absolutely one of my favorite songs this year, it's not your typical Kpop yet it's as catchy, it's basically....everything.
2. Jun.K (of 2PM) – Alive
As soon as the first blissful utterances of “I’m feeling so alive” reached my ears, I was sold. The entirety of the song is really an unconventional marriage of two styles: sensual RNB and bombastic rap verses, and how could I forget the epic "Fancy" reference "Hair done, yeah son, everything good" ?
"Alive" is about as blissful as pop music can get, and shimmers with an ambitious creative spirit that deserves a massive round of applause.
