If you don't live in Italy you just can't understand. Everytime i go abroad the only thing that i miss (obvs my family) is Italian food. Piadina Romagnola, Lasagna, Pasta, Pizza ect ect. And you just can't say that our food is one-dimentional. We've got the sea and the Alps and the Pre-Alps. We've got every kind of landscape which implies every kind of food. The variety of food is huge, when we talk about food Italy wins.
I could make you some of our dishes and you would love it. Honestly, it's deliciuos, of course not everything but food like (Cepelinai, Šašlykai, Kugelis) is just to die for, you should try it.
I love Italian food, even if it's basic (which I don't think it is but y'all are saying so) you gotta admit food in general would be a lot more boring without Italy's input know #that
South-Italy food is the definition of Mediterranean food
