Look at the start, it starts off with a Back to Basics feel, with the background and Christina herself starting to change and have colors as the song plays.

I think you got the concept all wrong.
If I got it right, and I believe I did, it was all about the evolution over the years and how it keeps getting better.
It starts with the wild west / 50's (?) then it switched to the 60's or w/e [look at the flowers, her outfit and the set up].
Then it goes to the 70's-80's I think, and then it kinda gets random
.
She's in the present, showing us how it used to be or w/e.
Lame concept, doesn't matter if you are right or I am, I'm sorry, but this video is really plain and boring.
I much prefer the video to Britney's but I prefer Britney's song.
