Britney will be remembered for being a Pop Icon, who in my opinion defined Pop music in another way. No one will ever take that from her. But honestly her fans are making her bigger than what she is.
Beyonce has started Women Empowerment movements way before her solo career. And besides her great music, Beyonce was getting accolades from many legends before her (there are video receipts on Youtube btw). Let's leave out the Grammys here, Beyonce has wow'd people with her Listen vocals. Listen is one of the songs, if you cover it well, you are most likely to see the final round in singing shows. Breaking Touring records especially as an African American artist (a fact people try to downplay). Her impact in the 00s gave her the respect she has now. That is why she can drop an album with no promo and still sell millions. That is impact!

Excuse me and do not pass me as a hater cause I do enjoy Beyonce's music very much. She has divercity bigger than Britney, jumping from pop to RnB, to Soul/Jazz to Hip-Hop, to Dance. But I do think the Beyhive is making her much more than she is too. Beyonce is much more of a try-hard compared to Brit (that said, it's not neccesarily bad). Like Beyonce from the start of her career to now, she has tried her best for everything to be perfect. She has been competitve, she has been a perfectionist and kinda insecure that she will not be seen as weak. Britney did that same thing too from 2000-2003 but her attitude was more "i dont give a --". Like Britney wanted to do her best and she didnt care what the others did, Beyonce always kinda tried to stay ahead of things, to follow trends. Britney did what she did effortlessly, and by that I do not mean by sitting at her home, but by having a more "chill" attitude towards her career. Hency why Beyonce gets all that recognition: meeting with the President (Hello? Any popstar could do that if they were political but Britney has chosen not to) and being recognised by older legends. And Britney has been recognised by Madonna, Janet, MJ, Mariah, Celine, Cher, Aerosmith, Barbra Streisand too and all that happened without her aimin' at it.
And another huge difference between the 2 is that Britney managed what she has by herself. Beyonce always had someone either if that was her dad, her husband or her group.
Bottom line, in my eyes Beyonce is a control freak who doesnt want to be seen in a bad eye, since why her team try to buy-off her bad pictures, why she released her album the way she did etc. She wants to be seen as Mrs. Perfect, as Mrs. Flawless but that's not human possible. That's why Britney had by showing her human side more impact than any Women empowrment revolution that has already be done better and before by Madonna, Cher etc., because she was from the first people in that "perfectionist" industry, to show she is a human. And she paid the price for that.
