I listened to spice girls when I was 4 so yes before gaga I liked music. I do give her credit for making me fall in love with pop music again.
I have heard a lot of people say they never really paid attention to pop culture/stanning/whatever until Gaga came around. I'm sure that's more what the poll is getting at rather than just listening to pop music
When you have songs like Come Clean, Since U Been Gone, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Hollaback Girl, Sk8er Boi, Complicated, The Reason, Bring me To Life, Oops! I did It Again, Crazy In Love, and Let's Get It Started as part of your childhood, yes is the answer.
I didn't start listening to Pop Music until I discovered Gaga in August 2009.
