Stanning for me is all about how I relate to an artist through their music, and I don't feel I can relate to Beyonce very well. Sure, she has some material I can relate to, but not heaps. I respect her a lot, and her talent is phenomenal, it's just relating to her that is lacking.
For beyonce, I was a stan back in her first wo album eras...what makes me only be a fan at best is:
She s not original...nor does she have to be. she is as deep as a puddle. She goes.out of her way to make ppl believe she is in more control than she is...we see what happens when Matthew knowles is no longer greasing palms...
She is somewhat overrated and manufactured...sometimes I'm ok with that because everything can't be fresh, sometimes you want something packaged.
She does average out overall better than many of her peers, but there are ppl that can outsing her, outdance her, are better looking, better actresses, more original but because many might be amazing in some areas but flops in others they average out less. She only has couple of flop areas and a s result fans make her seem like the second coming. Matthews shenanigans and shady business dealings that beyonce claims she is aware since, according to her, she writes her stuff, comes up with all her video/tour treatments, to close her statement saying that it is all her. Smh.
That turned meoff of her and also taking credit for work that you didn't do. It might be a business move but does she have to go on interviews claiming otherwise so that middle America that most likely aren't aware of the inside info are brainwashed into believing fallacies and half truths.
I just would expect that behavior from someone that I feel needs to play that game.
I loved her at first because I felt she didn't need to represent what I mentioned above...
Now I'm no longer a stan and most likely will be a fan at times but not always.
Beyoncé is too perfect for me to stan for her, where's the fun of stanning for someone with no flaws? It wouldn't be entertaining to me, she also comes of as a bit fake in interviews and in her work, too much credit where its not due etc but those are things no one is sure of so it's just speculation. I used to hate her in DC days because she didn't even let the others sing but that most likely wasn't her fault. She is my 2nd fave of the current pop gals tho
Beyoncé isn't.... fun enough, to be honest. Sometimes we all need a messy bitch around and Beyoncé lacks personality. Stanning for her isn't really a challenge, either. Deep down, every stan wants a challenge, artistically, commercially, or personality-wise. ( ).
Because 70% of the songs in all of her albums (except 4), are just fillers. And they're not even good fillers. What's so good about having so much talent if you can barely make a good and enjoyable album?
