The melodies are awesome and majority of the song snippets are during verses... the chorus' so far are the most powerful part of the songs. FMWUTTT is the only one to tap into the chorus and that's the most well-received snippet of the rest.

As a stan, I am extremely disappointed. That much that I am angry at her, and I'm so pressed. I literally thought this album is going to be perfection. Because, in my eyes Lana could not do wrong. Her every song was amazing.

So i wonder, how can someone who imo has the best album of the decade (Born to Die) degrade to this level?

UV is just boring, no melodies, weak production, songs do not carry massive emotion BTD songs did. I will obvously wait to hear it in full for a full judgement. but so far..

Where is the cinematic sound? Where are the beautiful, chilling melodies? Where are the strings? Retro sound?
Instead of grandiose floral-crowned retro queen of magnificent music, we got a wannabe rock girl who we can barely hear on songs filled with weak guitars. I am so pressed and angry, because I love her so much and I think she created masterpieces.

i love lana to pieces and have probably longer than most of her stans... but guys this album is really not good.... i will still stan awaiting #3 but this is a major disappointment. i am a fan, but i am not delusional like these people saying WTF ITS SO GOOD!!! SLAYYYYY


born to die was a masterpiece...

ultraviolence is..... personal to lana you can tell that.

but it's not as personal to everyone else, which was the magic of born to die.

To answer the OP, the answer is "no". She's coming for her best album so far.

I hope some of you can seriously get over yourselves and realize that a lot of the Lana/Monsters fans are hybrids and that they're only expressing their opinion of the album. YES, there are trolls but get over it, they're going to be there always. I found the snippets okay but not very catching to my attention, that doesn't mean it's going to be a bad album like the OP is rushing to assume. Y'all need to chill.

You guys need to get your hearing checked for how amazing Ultraviolence is...the snippets probably don't give the full songs justice, but from what you can hear, it's exactly the type of music Lana Del Rey seems to know how to perfect. Sorry it's not some pop music fanatics cup of tea.

This. And: I'm no fan; I didn't get the hype of BTD..BUT WITH THIS ALBUM...all the songs I've heard so far gave me LIFE!

With just 3 songs heard in full:

Ultraviolence>>>some galaxies>>>BTD

Could become one of ma favourite albums this year.

I agree that it's really not fair to judge the album as a whole yet, but I'm a bit disconcerted by the lack of variety represented in these snippets. So slow...it's just not inspiring me personally.

I've been mixed about the songs released so far - Brooklyn Baby certainly seems like a step in the right direction but overall I admit it, I've not been blown away.

The biggest issue I'm having it as others have mentioned - the vocals are so muddied, or overpowered by the production that I am having a super hard time understanding her. (Which is a shame because obviously she is giving us good lyrics!) I've been listening to BTD and Paradise again this evening to compare and it's really noticeably different in terms of how you can hear the vocals.

And please, let's not make this a Lana stans vs Gaga stans things - there are clearly many of us who live in both camps.
