1. Rob fusari didn’t mainly write or produce bootylicious. He simply found the stevie nicks sample and beyoncé heard it and built on it with falonte moore to create “bootylicious”. The issue he had with beyoncé was that he misheard what she said about bootylicious. He thought she said she came up with the idea of using the stevie nicks sample, but she never said that. She said that she heard the stevie nicks guitar riff and loved it and decided to use it. Rob was just salty that she didn’t say he was the one who played it for her. He still for the credit and royalties so there shouldn’t be a problem.

The only major artist soundz worked with prior to this song is pitbull. I’d take his comment with a grain of salt.

I’m sure once beyoncé got it, she also contributed some lyrics and different arrangements. Obviously things are handed to beyoncé, but that doesn’t mean she takes everything without putting any work in.

Beyoncé hadn't worked with Frank Ocean as of January 14, 2010. That tweet means nothing.
So you actually think that people in the industry don't talk? I'm confused. Are you assuming that Frank Ocean, Bangladesh, SOUNDZ, etc. hadn't talked to/worked with/known/been friends with people who worked with her? Like it's not that big of an industry. To think that all of these people haven't heard or aren't well-informed is silly - producers, engineers, writers, they all talk.
If one person says it, or one or two people sue, okay, that isn happens. If the multitude that have come for Beyonce time and time and time again say it, that's something different.
Again NO OTHER ARTIST IN HISTORY HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF STEALING WRITING CREDITS (NOT TO MENTION IDEAS, PERFORMANCES, ETC.) AS MUCH OR AS OFTEN AS BEYONCE.
That is a fact. I've never seen anything like it before honestly. I hate discussing this though because the assumption is going to be (from silly stans who can't actually debate or discuss) that I am a hater when I have said time and time again I like Beyonce and think she's the greatest performer of her generation. I just don't worship the ground she walks on and am fine with acknowledging that I don't agree with some of the things she's done.

So your pretty accusing her of stealing credits based off the ASSUMPTION that those people were told directly by people that work with her that she steals credits? Yeah' that's really convincing

What about the MULTIPLE people who HAVE vouched for her writing?
'It was great working with Beyonce,' 'She's an extremely gifted artist, and she's the real deal as a songwriter.'- Rob Fusari
"Beyonce is a phenomenal writer. Oh yeah, by the way, she pretty much wrote everything on the song. I came in with the music and I had the idea about Drunk situations. She helped build it and turned it into this massive thing. I feel like my part wasn't done, she did such a good job" - Detail
"Beyonce she's a wonderful person. She's a very hard worker too. She's really a woman who knows what she wants. I found that to be really shocking. Before I had worked with her I thought there were a lot of people that did things for her, as far as writing, vocal production and all the things she does in her musical career. When we were in the studio, where she basically just sat down and she told me what type of direction she wanted to go, and once I made the music, she was like okay. That's it, let me do my thing. I was waiting for the other people to come in, like her "team". A lot of times, artists they don't really write the music. They have writers that work with them and write the songs for them. She came in and knocked it right out." - Anthony Dent
In addition to being impressed with Beyonce's on-the-spot skills as a lyricist and producer, Workman also was awestruck by certain aspects of her musicianship, particularly regarding timing - Dan Workman
For instance, on Halo, that bridge on her version is completely different to my original one," he continued. "Basically, she came in, ditched that, edited it, did her vocal thing on it and now it's become one of my favourite parts of the song. The whole melody, she wrote it spontaneously in the studio. So her credit on that song stems from that. - Ryan Tedder
Beyoncé came up with the song after having an argument with her boyfriend. She went into a studio on her own and recorded vocals for the first version of this song, which promoted female independence, both financially and relationally. A team of producers - Eric Seats, Rapture Stewart, David Donaldson - put the track together using a sample from the Peabody's Improbable History theme song. This version was later used on the 2001 Destiny's Child album Survivor as "Independent Women Part II," but a radically different rendition became the hit.
Drake shared that he actually heard "Magna Carta Holy Grail" while he was working on Beyonce's still unannounced album. "I was writing for Beyonce -- or working with Beyonce." he said. "I hate saying 'writing for' because you know, she's a phenomenal writer." - Drake

Just because a bunch of people on ATRL consistently post a bunch of flop receipts doesn't mean she's actually been accused of anything.

Of course you're going to hate discussing something you don't even have proper knowledge of. All the accusations you made with these writers/producers have already been refuted in my previous posts. You are choosing to ignore that because you know you have been proven wrong and now are just trying your hardest to seem like you're right. You came in here with RUMORS about Beyoncé stealing credits and lies about Chrisette Michelle, Rico Love, and others that if you look up online, were just posted by Mediatakeout and few other gossip sites.
These "silly stans who can't actually debate or discuss" are in here with FACTS and RECEIPTS that refute your claims that Beyoncé "steals" so of course your response will be that we're "silly".
And there is a big difference between worshipping someone and calling them a thief. You don't have to wrongfully insult someone's character because you don't "worship" them. That's the problem with these haters. They want to call Beyoncé a thief, an ape, a fake, and then they go on to say "sorry I don't worship her like you do, that doesn't make me a hater". How much more pathetic can yall get?
P.S. - If you think Beyoncé is the only artist who gets wrongfully sued countless times, you're truly delusional. That's the price you pay when you reach a certain level of success.
But I'm yet to see Best Contemporary Urban Album Grammy winner Frank Ocean refute this statement
You thinking it means nothing doesn't change the facts unfortunately, several songwriters have already claimed that she does indeed get undeserved credit; Linda Perry, Dianne Warren, Frank Ocean, Rob Fussari e.t.c but I'm sure you believe the woman who struggles to write one grammatically correct sentence going by her president to the first lady or the one who struggles a lot to express herself in the English language in televised interviews wrote all her songs
The tweet came from a place of ignorance. It means nothing.
And besides that its not like Beyoncé is giving you Stevie Wonder with her lyrics. I mean, is it really that hard to believer that she helped write Freakum Dress?

What rumors? Rob said it. He flat out said it in an interview. Period. She has also been sued and settled. Those are facts. It has also been said by several producers who I believe would know (since industry people talk) that often gets credited for things that she doesn't contribute too (this is subjective, I believe it, if you don't believe they know, that's your right).

First, I'm black and never did I call her an ape. I do think she steals songwriting credits. None of us KNOW FOR SURE we can only go by what's out there, some people have said she does, some people have said she doesn't. Due to the frequency of how often she is accused of it by the comments of some VERY high profile people I choose to believe that yes she probably often takes credits for things she didn't write. NONE OF US ARE IN THE STUDIO WITH HER. We really don't know, if you choose to have faith in her, that's cool.

She has been consistently accused, she's been taken to court, she's repeatedly settled out of court dating back to the Destiny's Child days, those are FACTS. Are we really going to act like she hasn't been? Cater 2 U (settled out of court), XO (ongoing), Drunk In Love (the voice, ongoing), Booylicious, If I Were a Boy (settled out of court), the choreography in Countdown from, Lorella Cuccarini performance at the Billboard Awards...let's not sit here and pretend there isn't a pattern. Those are FACTS. Lawd, I could keep going.
Every year one of those articles pops up because every year Beyonce is publicly accused of and often sued for stealing something. And perhaps some folks here are new or young, but what I can say is that several other legendary singers/pop stars who were HUGE have NOT been and never were accused nearly as much or by as many people or been spoken out against by people like Linda Perry for stealing credits.
Sigh. I'm not arguing this. Nobody is changing their mind on this anyway.
Of course she is. But ATRL we run in her to say otherwise by using tired rumors with no merit and validity. And when you refute these rumors with facts they will say you're a blind stan.
there's a reason why she has been subjected to a lot of songwriting dramas. there wouldn't be smoke without a fire. I doubt those ppl in the industry who has more knowledge of this subject than any of us wouldn't be saying the things the said if there wasn't some truth to it. and FYI, she is not underrated as a musician whatsoever. has she even written a song from scratch by herself?
Yes, she has. Are we going to act like Destiny's Child didn't exist? And even if she had never written a song from scratch, how does that equal to her stealing credits? Where is the logic?
What rumors? Rob said it. He flat out said it in an interview. Period. She has also been sued and settled. Those are facts. Rob Fusari did not "flat out" say that it an interview. You need to look up what those words mean. He never said Beyonce didn't write Bootylicious. Hell, he never even said that HE wrote Bootylicious. You're just trying to take out what he said out of context to better suit your argument. He was salty that Beyonce didn't mention him talking about the The Edge Of Seventeen sample an interview. What does this have to do with songwriting?

Lol she's never been taken to court over songwriting. Cater 2 U's case had absolutely nothing to do with songwriting. She never went to court for If I Were A Boy, as she doesn't have a credit on the song. Never went to court over Bootylicious either
Xo and Drunk In Love cases have absolutely no merit and are just from opportunistic artists trying to get attention. I can't @ you even bringing that up.

Rob never said Beyoncé didn't contribute to Bootylicious. Show me the proof. Until then, it's not a fact.

Exactly, so why are you in here saying she steals? There is video proof of Beyoncé writing music and composing, that I've just posted above. There's no proof that she steals credits.

Cater 2 U was wrongfully sued and the plaintiff lied in court to get his way. Please tell me how his song "I Want To Cater To You" and "Cater 2 U" sound anything alike.
Even if they did hear the Rick Allen song and decided to make a song named "Cater 2 U", there is nothing similar but the title. The title is why they made a settlement and they aren't even the same.
The claim that she stole XO from this song is just pathetic.
Beyoncé was never sued for If I Were a Boy and she doesn't even have a writing credit on the song.
Shall I go on? Because I can.The point I'm trying to make is, you are making these accusations without even looking up to see if they are valid or true. If you are going to go as far as calling Beyoncé a thief, at least do your homework. If not, then why are you in here discussing it. Seems like you're the silly one who can't debate or discuss.
She is the most talented musician of our generation.. But we are on a forum full of bitter Beyoncé haters, so some comments don't surprise me at all.
Beyonce is one of the most successful performers and entertainers, yes she is good at it, but this ignorant statement is an insult to all musicians who are the sole creative force (writers/composers) behind their songs, play multiple instruments on their quality albums and then they awe you by giving a very intense musical experience when you watch them perform without the aid of expensive production.
(just listening to St. Vincent so that may give you some idea about what I have in mind).
I've already discussed the topic at length in my other posts, right now I'm just enjoying the entertainment of your delusion.
She literally sounds like a computer generated bot.
What does Carly have to do with this debate and that statement you made was just as ignorant as you're claiming everyone else's to be this performance and this this album proves otherwise.

But yes, I agree that she's underrated when it comes to creating her music, but she's overrated in other aspects.
7. The change from "Smack Into You" to "Smash Into You" is a SIGNIFICANT change in the song. It wasn't a random word she changed, it's the damn title and chorus to the song. She has the smallest credit on the track and I commend her for making sure she got it.
Not really....it's ONE word and it means the same exact thing. In fact, its two letters. Not nearly enough to warrant a writing credit.
