Luckily, I have some good friends of mine that already go to my college that don't party either, so I at least have friends until I make more friends that hopefully aren't party-goers/alcoholics.

You might wanna watch the school you go to.some of them require freshmen to live on campus.

And I don't want to be trapped in it for the rest of my life. I want to have the option of a career and most of my family lives in Florida and I want to be able to spend more time besides week long vacations with them.

I left Florida because I didn't want to trapped, and you're going to Florida because you don't want to be trapped. The world works differently for everyone.

And you can study almost anything at community college. They have a wide assortment, just like a university. They don't have the more advanced ones, though.

I wouldn't necessarily say that community college doesn't have advanced classes, it all depends on your program really. I'm taking Microbiology, Immunology, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Biological Fluids, and it isn't easy.
If you don't know what you want to do, as in my case, community college is nice because it's cheaper and it can help you find out what your interested in.

Oh, I understand now. Thanks, again
It was really hard for me to know what I wanted to do. I thought of Computer Science but then I started to find it boring. I thought of Architecture but I don't think I'm very creative or anything like that. My parents and my relatives were always saying I should try Medicine. Since my favorite subjects at school were basically Math/Physics, I chose Civil Engineering.

I know. The best thing is to let yourself determine what you want.In the end,the degree will have your name on it.

College makes me sick. All the stress, the pressure, the long nights.

I'm procrastinating on a 1000 word essay that's due tomorrow. It's for a pop music class, if that's an excuse.

I don't have a major either!
I like a lot of different subjects, which is troubling. My interests change every few months, which is even more troubling...
And I want a major that can be useful in a future career, but I hate interacting with people and so I have found exactly 0 jobs that I could actually see myself doing...
i still have a year left to declare my major, but my parents keep trying to push me to choose now.

I had started with Psychology as my major, but I'm not sure if that's the field that I want to pursue. I honestly don't know what I want to study anymore ... I've been thinking about pursuing a career that involves music though.
This is my first year, so I have plenty of time to decide!

I entered undecided, but my intention was to choose either English or history.
Then I took a sociology class, and I found that interesting. And I took an ecology class, and I found that interesting. And like you, I've considered looking into some sort of music related career.
There's just so many possibilities, and we've got so much time left to figure out the rest of our lives...
I see no reason to rush into something without being completely certain that it's what we really want.
