Jlo is. Not even huge in Puerto Rico. She's just doing allot if stuff and is somewhat visible... Visibility =/= WW icon status

Jlo is a bigger household name than Mariah. Mariah was obviously bigger musically but she is almost completely forgotten now. Jlo is far more successful now than Mariah music-wise.

In terms of calculating interest: concert tickets in the present >>>>> album sales from 20 years ago. 
All legends (Madonna, U2, Rolling Stones, JLO, Cher, Céline) sell tickets in bulk, why can't Mariah? Janet Jackson was able to gross way more than Mariah's $500,000 per night with her last tour. So what's the issue here?  stop this selective pick and choose BS. 
JLO's "Ain't Your Mama" released this year has 350 million views on VEVO, more than any Mariah video ever, and it's just one of many for JLO who has 1B video.
JLO has 53 million followers on IG and has been a media staple since she arrived on the scene.
Mariah fans need to stop it with their elitist thing, it's clear that JLO is on a totally different level of super stardom.

people in Europe love J.LO more nowadays, Mariah hasn't had a hit in years over here, almost a decade while J.LO is played up and down in clubs - Mariah used to be huge, they are both amazing artists in their own right - y'all are a sad mess.

Right now, probably JLo. But she is only iconic because of her "ass", her beauty and her little quick pop dance singles. She's basically a celebrity who releases music and makes movies as hobbies. But she has never been respected as an artist since she doesn't write her music and she can't sing to save her life.
Mariah may have lost her voice and doesn't sell her music like she used to but everyone knows she was once one of the best vocalists the world has ever seen. She became popular thanks to her talent. She's a real artist, who actually writes, composes and produces her own music.
