TD has sold enough copies and is doing fine. The thing that discredits Katy's ability to sell records is that she has five number one singles, yet hasn't gone double platinum and her worldwide album sales are dismal when you factor in her single success. Her current contemporaries, Rihanna and Gaga have sold more than her and has half the #1 singles. It's like people LOVE Katy's singles, but not enough to buy her album.
I suppose it depends on where you're at. I've seen several Katy fans legitimately make those statements.

She's sold more than 20 Million Digital tracks in the US alone from this era. And her album has sold 1.7 Million copies in the US, which in this day and age is impressive, and it will hit 2 million, with or without a rerelease. You trolls need to learn a little bit of respect.
