Rita Ora is the perfect example. She's everywhere, and gets endorsed for everything, yet Music is her roots and it's extremely hit and miss. It's what's keeping her signing the endorsements so she can't ditch it, yet she barely see's success from it nowadays.

In a lessor form;
Selena Gomez.
I mean has massive social media followings (about to be the most followed on instagram) and the fame, known for being associated with the biggest male pop star right now. Yet she can barely get her third single and album to take off. Ariana's biggest flop has the same amount of views of all 3 videos from this era combined. Considering how popular she is as a celeb, that success doesn't translate to music.
