As if Aretha Franklin has sold a 100 million albums. Beyoncé has sold over 65 million albums btw, counting DC that is, which of course... you should. It's a major part of her legacy.
It's not really about sales, it's about influence and musical legacy. Beyoncé has literally influenced every single pop girlon the charts and off the charts. 'Maybe not in the same degree, but she has influenced them all in some way. Whether it be her costumes and style, her music, her dancing, her singing, her performances, etc.
Even rock/alternative bands have listed her as an influence. From the Artic Monkeys to Coldplay to HAIM everyone has praised her music and stated they would love to work with her.
She's basically the standard for all the k-pop girl groups.
She's well on her way to becoming the only legend of her generation.
