American Oxygen was very subtle. It was about the kind of thing where someone comes to America and getting caught up in the grind. It suits her. Formation... wouldn't.
Beyonce doesn't sing about smoking weed regularly nor have anywhere near the risky visuals. And like, WHOA, yes, she's a better performer. Gee, what a shock.
Rihanna is a black woman living in America, it's definitely "her place" to speak about black people in America. She's as much apart of racial tensions as any other black celebrities. Especially if she can speak on gay rights and #FreePalestine.
But she has spoken about black people many times. Rihanna even cursed out some racist author who called her n*gga b*tch
Yh it's really ignorant to think the entire African diaspora has had the exact same experience across America, anyway Rih has talked about the civil rights movement and shown images of BLM in the video of the before-its-time immigrant anthem American Oxygen
It's true that not everyone has the same experience, however a racist is a racist, whether the person is from the Islands or Africa. The experiences are quite similar.

Which has nothing to do with my post? I'm not saying she should or shouldn't, my point is simply that her being from Barbados isn't a reason for her to not do so.
