A near perfect ep. I haven't had this much fun with The Sims since possibly early Sims 3 days. The Sims 4 + Get To Work felt like tasks to play, they were so blah. This expansion adds so much life and purpose to the game. It really has brought the sims to life. I strongly recommend buying it!

I mean I'm even doing the health cheat (which I never do) because I am having so much fun with the groups. Even skills/jobs have taken a backseat. Which are mutually my #1 focus.

It would've been perfect had they included toddlers.

Next I want apartments. It would go so well with the group setting. I mean technically you can make an apartment (which I have done) more like a shared living complex. But I would love to add that lifestyle to the game. I remember having so much fun with Late Night. The city was so much fun, and this new town in Get Together, the city district is possibly one of the best Sims locations ever made.

This whole ep is actually a really innovative way of utilising the gameplay.

What I don't want, is pets. Not here for that filler pack so early in the game. Yes they're a fun concept, but in reality it isn't the time to add useless gameplay, they need to keep building on The Sims themselves.

Also the world is truly beautiful, and I find I love leaving the house even with the loading screens, it's worth the game not crashing like it constantly did with The Sims 3.

I'll report back whether my feelings change. But I've had about 2-3 days of truly enjoying the game, which I usually begin to become tired of the game already. And start thinking what should I do now? I think the best thing to do to get back into the game, is change up your game by changing how you play. If you usually create a couple and build a family, possibly try creating a group living situation. And see where the stories lead. This has really made the game exciting, not having 1 set plan.

What do you guys want for future eps?

I lowkey want Seasons to be next, but in a different way. I don't just want them to name it The Sims 4 Seasons. idk

And I hope we get some natural disasters whenever we get Seasons like floods, thunderstorms that cause power outages etc.

I hope for a Generations GP with Toddlers (and the mentioned pre teens) as patch so people can shut up and Metropolis as next EP.

I want seasons too and they should combine with with "Freetime" stuff

It's a huge improvement and tbh we haven't had an EP this good since Ambitions tbh.

Do you use custom content? And do you have most or all packs installed?

My computer has some high specs and I can barely run the Sims 3. I do have like 7 EPs and a bunch of custom content installed so that may be why.

I think they will, it seems TS2 only had 3 expansions out before 2 years passed and TS3 had 4.

We'll probably get at least 2 next year, with at least EP4 being out maybe a month or two after the 2 year mark.

Also I'm hoping they don't push out a Pets EP or Seasons EP (unless this one is a new spin on Seasons), I'd rather get an EP that's something completely new.

the get to work expansion pack is strange, owning a bakery seems more like real work than a fun game, because my shop workers NEVER Ring up customers so I end up having to do all the cooking and the ringing up which means my sims always end up falling a sleep or having really low need bars

The December patch broke the retail workers, they are working on fixing that.

The December patch messed up a lot of things. My Sims always need to pee. Not playing until the fix it because it's useless playing when everything you tell them to do, they stop to pee

They released a Survey saying they wanted to add "destinations" to Seasons, meaning each Season will have a getaway location attached to it. If that makes sense.

It's always the retail workers.

They fix them, then they break, the fix them, they are broken again it's a shame because running a business is like the best thing you can do outside running a family in the sims, and they keep messing it up.

Sims 3 business dlc was a mess, get to work is great for 3 months, bad for one, good for 2 weeks, bad for 3 years like yelp
