This is true. An explicit thread or a mere thread with a sexual innuendo will be closed swiftly, but threads that incite stan wars take much longer to be closed.

Exactly, which is why I feel that I asked a valid question that deserves an answer. Even though it doesn't affect me or bother me, it's something I've been wondering for a while now

Guys... don't act like if you weren't a mod, you wouldn't do the same thing. Honestly, they either probably aren't online at the moment or probably watch the mess ensue for a while and cackle about it in the mod squad forum. I mean... I understand they gotta have their fun sometimes. Although it bothers me too at times, it's not hard to assume that happens.

It makes sense. The first part isn't good for the advertisers so it needs to get closed or deleted ASAP. The flamebait threads allow for the problematic people to post and have a greater chance of being warned and/or banned. Cleaning out the bad seeds. Just makes doing their job at moderating earlier.

Lol, probably because mess threads in Lounge are easier to spot. There's fewer threads in Lounge for things to get buried with, and Lounge is usually where we go first to access the Mod Squad and HQ. It's always confirmation bias, guys. It's not uncommon to begin going through reports when there are already 30+ waiting to be handled. There's no scheme, no master plan, no undercover agenda. We're not coordinated enough for that. Maybe someday.

Yeah, also (I'm not sure how the system is in here) in other forum the reports are placed from newest to oldest, so sometimes you go through the new ones while the others take more time unwarned cuz nobody has read them.
So I don't think this is made on purpose tbh, at least not normally.
