I agree, and with spits earlier post. I would never call it scary or horror really, but definitely a great creepy, thriller atmosphere. I can't praise it as horror just from the direction and soundtrack though, which were both amazing.

Waiting for Unfriended to start now.

Saw It Follows and it was good. The music was amazing, and the main girl was a great actress. It was never really scary though. The idea was great, but I feel like they could've done a little more with it.
Still, the best horror movie since...?

I just watched Phantasm (1979). It's pretty scary tbh. The tall guy is terrifying

I felt the same way. Great movie, great acting but I don't think it was scary at all. Felt more like a thriller as if it was a killer trying to kill her not horror.

What annoyed me most was HOW THE ****ING DOLL NEVER MOVED. It had numerous drawn out shots approaching it and... nothing. No eye movement. Nothing. The doll that the entire move was based on did literally ****ing nothing besides fly across the room at the end.

That was clear from the trailers tho

it worked in V/H/S (and Modern Family) so I don't see the problem.

The reviews are good for a horror movie... I'm excited just for a format change.

I'll wait until it leaks online (if it hasn't already). I wouldn't pay $10 to see that.

I actually enjoyed some parts of the movie. The part where she was running up the stairs after dealing w/ the faulty elevator had me scared of walking up the stairs w/o a light for a solid month. That damn demon wasn't something I wanted to **** with

But that part bothered me too. All that built up suspense for nothing. But I wouldn't exactly say it was trash.

What did you expect after seeing the trailer? The point of that style is to reveal character nuances in discreet ways and immerse the viewer in the experience.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about the filming style. I might wait to see it on Blu Ray, but I'm excited to see it nonetheless.

That part was amazing, I'll give it that much. I was kind of annoyed with the false suspense with the elevator but when the fact of it or whatever flashed in the staircase I was ****ing shook. But besides that, I was not scared once and everything felt really cliché.

I am just so ****ing sick of this paranormal/demon trend right now: Annabelle, Ouija, Jessabelle, Sinister 2, Insidious 3, the new Paranormal Activity, blah blah blah it's all rinse and repeat. I'm glad we have movies like It Follows, The Babadook, and Unfriended to shake things up a bit format/genre wise. I miss the torture **** trend

Haus, have you seen You're Next ? it's a hit & miss film with most people but I enjoyed it and thought it had a nice twist to it.

Yes, it's one of my all time favorites

I'd been following it for a while before release and it definitely lived up to the hype for me. Erin was an amazing protag and the action scenes were really creative. I know some people saw the twist coming but I didn't

I love home invasion movies.

I think my top 5 horrors of the 2010's would be You're Next, The Cabin in the Woods, It Follows, The Babadook, and Insidious or V/H/S/2.

I was compelled by the 80%+ on rt. It was not worth $11, but it wasn't terrible either. But if you see the trailer you literally saw it all, besides the comic bits. It did some what have a tension to it, despite knowing exactly how it was going to go.

The ending was very stupid though and abrupt. Overall I should've waited for it to leak, because it'd been a great bored at home watch.

I echo Annabelle statements here. That was probably the most disappointing horror for me yet, just because I love The Conjuring. They literally used the name and doll to sell a cheap demon possession movie, because Annabelle herself was pointless the whole time.
