Starting trends seems overrated, no? Unless you bought a whole sub-genre that no one ever heard to the forefront and not just some mild variation of pop music, a "trend" like those mentioned seem pretty arbitrary.

Very true, her scoring 3 top 10 hits that era while still not being huge was an obvious sign of what was going to follow
