Legit otherworldly, sounds like retro videogames on an alien spacecraft during invasion. All of the glitchy electronic whirring and beeping on the rest of the album was but a pale imitation of the majesty of its opening track. This really should not work but some how it hold together, like a jet engine taped to your car. The softness and break in the madness after the chorus is the time to catch your breath before getting blasted again. Stunning.
As the only single from Wanderland, this is one of her biggest flops. Top 40 in the UK (again with UK) is literally the best it can boast. They must have blown the album campaign funding on the video though, one of her more out-there ones in which she abandons work to go wreck **** in her monster truck and pick up runaways. Pretty ****ing great stuff.
Diarrhoea loves it and hates that it's so obscure, "Why was this such a flop? I thought this wasn't released in the US, so now that I know it was, it's floppage is even worse
her best lead single tbh."
HonourableVomit is more middleground, think it's "cute but overrated."
ECNEICSNOC tells us what we already know: Kelis is unmatched, "Should sound like a trainwreck but works extremely well. None of Kelis’ female R&B peers could’ve pulled off a song so brazen." Then
