It got an 8 from me because after the 1st listen this song was stuck in my mind. I don't particularly like it but it missing top 40... welp, at least it wasn't a Madonna song elimination

What do you mean by that exactly? Songs performed a lot on talent shows or songs that are specifically crafted to emphasize an artist's talents?
