Timbira, here are your scores.....
potentialbreakupsong: Goo Goo Dolls - Not Broken
Quote:
DillonATRL - 9.5 - i gave you 5 points for your personal association since it was very relateable and 4.5 for the song..good job

Quote:
Ray Bass - 6.5 - I’m glad you can relate through a song to experiences and setbacks that occur in your life, to be completely honest with you I can’t stand the Goo Goo Dolls as Iris was overplayed back in the day, but the lyrics are wonderful so I’ll give you half of the score for that.

MLD: 10/10: I totally understand where you are coming from. Everyone has stuff to go through that doesn't break them, including me, and probably every ATRL member on this site (though I bet 99.9% of these bitches can't admit to it). This is REALLY good for my first listen of it so great job this round!

Monkey: Britney Spears - From the Bottom of My Broken Heart
Quote:
DillonATRL - 8 - your reason was different...but i expected more of a connection because everyone thinks of their childhood..but i'm not one to judge your connection so i gave you a 4 for both.
|
Quote:
Ray Bass - 5.5 - I really like this song and I’ve always thought Old Britney jams are a true blast. I am no one to judge your connection with the song, but I personally believe there are many songs we may reminisce about our childhoods, and I was expecting a better emotional connection from you Monkey.

Quote:
MLD: 7/10: Your personal connection to this song is really cute. That's how I am with Disney movies. But, well, this isn't really one of my favorite Britney songs - ballad wise it doesn't compare to Everytime, I'm Not a Girl, or even Quicksand.

medosuxx: The Fray - How To Save A Life
Quote:
DillonATRL - 10 - your reason described the song perfectly and the song is great so you get a 10
|
Quote:
Ray Bass - 8.5 - I get you. Losing a friend is no small thing and HTSAL’s lyrics describe this perfectly. Cheer up though, if they walk away from your life, maybe there weren’t meant to be there for a long time.
|
Quote:
MLD: 9/10: I understand what you mean, but I always felt like this song was suiting a breakup of a relationship more than a friendship. You did great this round though, so you still get a 9.

jqnetto: Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know
Quote:
DillonATRL - 8.5 - i gave you a 4 and 4.5 for each of the two judging categories since your explanation was a little brief and the song isn't a perfect 5 for me but still 4.5 so good job again jQQQQQQQnetto

Quote:
Ray Bass - 5.5 - I loved this song way before it became popular, and it’s simply a gem or a masterpiece considering the generic stuff that Mainstream radio serves us nowadays, but the lyrics explain a failed relationship, and even though you can set the lyrics so it can fit to a friend, it’s mainly written to an ex-beau, so I believe you could’ve found a better song to fit your situation.

Quote:
MLD: 6/10: It's understandable that you would relate to this song. But, I always thought this song was overrated!
|
ethan: Mandisa - Broken Hallelujah
Quote:
DillonATRL - 9 - obviously i gave your freakin 5 page explanation a 5 since you took so much time and the song a 4 since that type of music isn't my thing so you get a 9 ethan
|
Quote:
Ray Bass - 9.5 - Flawless explanation and connection, can’t say more to that, I admire the words you expressed to us. To be completely honest with you I had to hear the song as I’ve never listened to it before, and it’s truly beautiful and very heavenly. Kudos Ethan!
|
Quote:
MLD: 10/10: First time I heard this song. It is BEAUTIFUL, even if I'm not religious. Well ethan, I'll admit, religion is one of those things that if you're strongly religious like you said, it can definitely be hard if you can't trust them, so I think this song seems to be suited for your situation. Good job this round!

rihannabiggestfan: Skylar Grey - Invisible
Quote:
DillonATRL - 9 - your personal association I think anyone can relate to and i like Skylar a lot but this song just needed that little extra ooomph for me...still good job David
|
Quote:
Ray Bass - 9 - This song is so touching and I truly believe many people that have heard the song felt connected in some kind of way. I liked the song and I believe Skylar deserves some recognition as she’s an awesome songwriter.
|
Quote:
MLD: 10/10: i totally get you. And this song fits that perfectly.
|
theREALslimSHADY: Adele - Someone Like You
Quote:
DillonATRL - 9 - Your personal association is very good and different here you go..a good score...9!
|
Quote:
Ray Bass - 9 - Those type of flashbacks and memoirs we’ll be always remembered, as they were precious times we do treasure, hope I can travel to the UK once and have that type of memoir. I believe Adele has better songs but it’s indeed one of her signature songs.

MLD: 10/10: Aww your story was cute. And so relatable since I was in choir for a year and a half in High School and near the end of my experience, there was a day where basically every choir kid was singing the really popular songs like I'm Yours, Forget You, and what not. So I totally relate to that. But Someone Like You without a doubt ***** all over those songs. The song has always been beautiful, and easily her best single.
