I liked Usher's singles but unfortunately
couldn't get into his album
It just didn't appeal to me like his previous works

JEIBERT's Best of 2012 | aLBUMs: #44-#43 + sINGLEs: #83-#81
*Lay-out suits best in LiveWire color scheme
ADAM LAMBERT - "Trespassing"
| Released: May 15, 2012
Genre: Pop, electropop
Label: 19, RCA
Producer: Josh Abraham, Ammo, Jason Bonilla, busbee, Cirkut, Josh Crosby, Adam Lambert (exec.), Robert Marvin, Lester Mendez, Dr. Luke, Oligee, The Smeezingtons, U-Tern, Rune Westberg, Fred Williams, Pharrell Williams
TOP 5 TRACKS:
01. Shady (featuring Nile Rodgers and Sam Sparro)
02. Naked Love
03. Better Than I Know Myself
04. Runnin
05. Trespassing
All hail for the first openly gay artist to top the Billboard 200 albums chart is here! Adam definitely impressed me with this sophomore effort of his! The change of direction from the glam rock sound we heard from his debut to a more dance oriented and personal ballad record was a brilliant transition! I really like the ordering of the tracks in the album where the opener and closing tracks are a perfect listen! And also, the side division of the fun, and poppy ones and the deep and personal ones, each a side Adam projects to the listeners!
Last Year's #44: Oh Land - "Oh Land" |
FLO RIDA - "Wild Ones"
| Released: July 3, 2012
Genre: Hip house, dance-pop
Label: Poe Boy, Atlantic
Producer: Dr. Luke, Cirkut, soFLY & Nius, DJ Frank E, Glass, Axwell, The Futuristics
TOP 5 TRACKS:
01. I Cry
02. Wild Ones (featuring Sia)
03. Whistle
04. Good Feeling
05. Let It Roll
Unlike his previous effort, this album is just upgraded and straight up, totally made for party and clubbing from start to finish! The single releases has been so far perfect and flawless! From track one to the last, ughh we can definitely sweat it out and party out wild. But paying attention to the lyrics, it indeed incorporates some being optimistic in life's struggles as well as troubled relationships! Hmm not bad. With this album, I consider it as his best era yet, let alone a successful strings of 4 top 10 hits at least! Definitely deserving for Flo!
Last Year's #43: Tori Amos - "Night of Hunters" |
RECAP: 65-64 | 63 | 62-61 | 60 | 59-58 | 60 | 57 | 56-55 | 54 | 53-52 | 51 | 50-49 | 48 | 47-46 | 45
AZEALIA BANKS - "1991"

Peak Position: #03
What kind of serving is this? Life giving to be honest! This is my second favorite track on the near flawless EP by one of the most promising artist of this year, Ms. Azealia Banks!. A favorite from the first listen of mine, this epic track incorporates the club sounds of the 90's, while the overall feel of it is like a hybrid mixture of Harlem and Paris. The video is so far the best that she had done, and to think in mind she had no album out yet, its definitely impressive! This is just the start and there's more of her to come
Last Year's #83: David Guetta - "Without You" (feat. Usher) |
TAYLOR SWIFT - "Safe & Sound" (feat. The Civil Wars)
| "...Just close your eyes, The sun is going down, You'll be alright, No one can hurt you now, Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound.."

Release Date: December 23, 2011
Genre: Country, folk rock
Length: 4:01
Label: Big Machine
Writer(s): Taylor Swift, Joy Williams, John Paul White, T-Bone Burnett
Producer(s): T-Bone Burnett
Weeks on Chart: 7 weeks
Peak Position: #03
Another song I discovered late, surprisingly when it was the Hunger Games mania fever was already wearing off. But I don't really mind that, because upon hearing this one! I was actually stunned. I was like, this is something new from Taylor! I was delighted! Her delicate vocals in this and the overall feel of the song is just great. For me, some of you might not agree but I would choose this as the highlight track of her career in terms of quality and direction! Too bad it got blocked of my more fave artist, but nevertheless, this is the top song I listen upon on rainy days to make me comfortable and secured as I cuddle on my blanket and pillows
Last Year's #82: The Saturdays - "Notorious" (feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey) |
WILL.I.AM. - "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)" (feat. Jennifer Lopez & Mick Jagger)
| "...You can go hard or you can go home, You can go hard or you can go home, You can go hard or you can go home, You can go hard or you can go home, Oh my goodness, this beat is so hard...Oh my goodness, this beat is so hard......"
Album: #willpower
Release Date: November 20, 2011
Genre: Hip hop, electro house
Length: 4:47 (Album version); 4:07 (Radio edit)
Label: will.i.am, Interscope
Writer(s): William Adams, Tanya Lacey Kenneth Oliver, Dallas Austin
Producer(s): will.i.am, Audiobot, Dallas Austin
Weeks on Chart: 9 weeks
Peak Position: #08
Being one of the most exciting collaboration that I was looking forward last year, I was thoroughly pleased of this result! For the exception of Mick Jagger's annoying appearance at the end. Oh well, I guess it makes the song! But the video delivered really great, I really like the theme where will.i.am. is going through the obstacles starting from running, then riding on the evolving vehicles such as the car, the train, then a rocket ship, with matching Jenny's visuals on the chorus! Solid effort, but it was one of this year's forgotten singles
Last Year's #81: Keri Hilson - "The Way You Love Me" (feat. Rick Ross) |
RECAP: 125-123 | 122-120 | 119-117 | 116-114 | 113-111 | 110-108 | 107-105 | 104-102 | 101-99 | 98-96 | 95-93 | 92-90 | 89-87 | 86-84

I don't really like the fact that Flo Rida's album is higher in your ranking than Adam's for example, but nonetheless I'm so glad that he is part of your Best Of! I absolutely love his voice
Safe And Sound is also great

It Will Rain is so beautiful, I love the lyrics so much
Summertime Sadness is a masterpiece also nice to see Gotye in your top 30.
Conor Maynard I still have to get more into that album, but I think it's not bad.
Making Mirrors, I haven't listened to it as much as his first album. might check it out further.
Locked Out Of Heaven and Payphone
Free is a great song, it's one of my favorites from Hayley she has an impressive voice.
I haven't listened to anything else from that set, sorry
1991 awesome song and video! I love the 90s feel and vibe it has to it. so fresh.
Safe & Sound I like what you wrote about it, and I also like the different direction she took with this. it's great for rainy days, so true!
