You seem to really be into movies - which would you say is the scariest you've seen?
|
Asian horror movies tend to be the scariest. My favourite horror movie will always remain the original Halloween. Although I also love the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre too.
Black Christmas was good too for being Canadian made. (Again, I speak of the original.)

The Canadian Pariries basically. The BC coast rarely gets snow in January. We shattered records yesterday for the most rain and the most snow in less then 12 hours. Only in Calgary.

Sis, I'm sorry, but Asian horror flicks will never be scary to me. I often wonder why people get so scared of them. They're really creative in terms of reinventing the ghost story, but then it's the same **** over and over again.
I get much more of thrill when some madman's on the loose just hacking people up.
Anyway, yaasssss, stan for John Carpenter's masterpiece!
Well, since you mentioned the original Halloween, TCM, & Black Christmas, I think horror movies such as those are the reason why I don't find Asian horror movies all that frightening. I grew up in horror movies like the aforementioned ones, so I think they're the reason why Asian horror films don't grab me like do other people.

Is anyone seeing The Cabin In The Woods this weekend? It's been getting extremely positive reviews.
And in unrelated news, I'm moving into my first apartment in less than a month! Goodbye dorm life!

I'm possibly going to see it tonight! I will keep you posted!
and congrats on the apartment! I remember loving dorm life when it first started (so much fun!) but by the end I was totally itching for my own place...it's a nice change. How did you like your dorm?

Please do! I'm thinking of seeing it tomorrow night.
And living in a dorm has been really convenient, and my roommate has been awesome (I didn't know him before I moved in). It'll definitely be nice though to not have to worry about RA's and having people over after-hours

You lucked out with a good roomie, that can make all the difference!
The after hours rules sucked too...I remember during exam time there were no over-night guests allowed...but when the RAs came around to check, my BF was hidden in the shower. lol

you guys had showers in your rooms.... At Windsor, they were bathroom that needed to be shared. I never had other people seeing me naked just like that so I couldn't do it. I had to live somewhere else

It all depends on what scares you. I know people who find the Scream movies terrifying, hell my brother got nightmares from an episode of Recess.
I've only watched like three Asian horror films, all of them were creepy. Europeon ones tend to have the most violence.

Aw girl, boyfriends aren't always what they're cracked up to be.
Mine's gone home for the month, and we hardly speak. Don't think we've spoken once this month. We don't really need to, I guess.
I do get concerns. I'm the first he's been with since he's realised he's gay, he has no idea how attractive he is to the gayz. All of my mates chase after him, girls are always try it with him, and I am a jealous hoe. Boyfriends are almost always a constant stress.
