Who said there were desperate? If you read the facebook update her record label post there was no desperation in the tone of the message. When artist have a download weekend or day its for their fans to buy it again for their friends/family as a gift and for those who didnt get it before to get it as a cheaper price. i dont see nothing wrong. Its just "promotion". Its not like the song wasnt a hit and they are willing to do anything for it to sell.
I don't think he meant that the tone of the message gave of desperation, the mood of the message probably did to him. But I don't understand why Rihanna can't do it without any backlash from ATRL, like she would care anyway
Of course the American public is responsible for Glee going to #1. It's just annoying. Most of the time, I'm fine with it because the songs don't go to #1. But they've been #1 all week frequently now, always taking WRWWR's spotlight & taking away the #1 exposure. I do think WRWWR's sales have minorly been affected by being pushed down.
I love Glee but I have honestly never downloaded any of their songs. Sometimes I do think it's annoying that their songs are always in the Top 10 but we know they're not going to block the other songsfrom charting higher because of airplay.
