Eh. Labeling Nicki as a streaming artist downplays her radio power (mostly with rhythmic and urban) as well as her sales power. She is not extremely powerful in any of those three areas, but she is extremely
well balanced.
The fact that both pop (which has always treated her so-so even in the RR era) and rhythmic took this song to as high as #14 on each format is incredible.
The reception for this being made a single was very mixed and quite a few people thought it would flop. I didn't think it'd flop, but I knew it'd either do well or do moderately depending on how far pop was willing to take it.
It definitely could have been bigger worldwide, but, hey, Nicki got sick and had to cancel promotion which is fine. **** happens lol. Plus, TNISY is a nice little hurrah (+ proved to me that Roman Reloaded could've been something better and better received had she diversified the pop production) and I can't wait to see to see what kind of pop material Nicki makes next era. TNISY will always be her best dance pop song.
