It's probably too much to ask that this album has any thinky meaningful songs, but I hope it at least has a couple good ballads/midtempos like Cool and Early Winter.

Rock Steady is the best song off Rock Steady.

Inarguable FACT. Its also mine & Gwen's favorite song they've ever written.
Sometimes we just light it up in her backyard after the kids have gone to bed and we blast it by the pool and she's like "can you even believe I wrote this!?" And I'm like "omigod I know Gwen Stefani! Its so good! I love it." And we just laaaaaaaugh

I'll def be adding Baby Don't Lie to the album somewhere. It's obviously an unpopular opinion, but I find it to be better than any of the songs released so far. I honestly feel like it's more of a "this song didn't do well, so I'm going to pretend like it's subpar" more than people actually genuinely not liking it.. It's so mellow and infectious. I'm actually extremely surprised it didn't do well, but it wasn't really promoted at all. It remains, at least to me, one of her best single releases, and a great comeback song, but things happen..

I'm so excited for this album. It sounds so promising from the previews. I'm hoping she promotes it properly instead of jumping straight on a tour right away. It deserves to be given more attention. Grammy's, late night shows, and SNL are a good indication they will push this hard, so hopefully they don't give up even if first week numbers don't meet their expectations..
